One year ago I purchased a paid of Alpinestars One-O-One Riding Shoes. I decided to hold off on writing a review until I had more experience with the product due to the fact that my initial take on them was not very good.

After several months of riding on/off with these shoes I'm still disappointed

The Good

  • Secure feeling
  • Look decent
  • Durable
  • Velcro lace strap is very nice
  • Laces tighten amazingly well due to correctly angled loops
  • Fits True to size

The Bad

  • V-Cutout in the back of heal can make walking uncomfortble
  • Pinches back of heal area
  • Toe area shoe height too great
  • Difficulty with up-shifts due to toe height
  • Loss of "feeling" for up shifts

The comfort level alone in these boots is enough for me to recommend avoiding them, what makes these boots even worse is that because they are so tall in the toe area, it makes shifting more difficult. I have zero feeling for my shifts which make them feel uncompleted or not solid and I have to angle my foot more to make it fit between the shifter and the foot peg.
