I've been working with rich internet applications for 10 years. A good portion of my focus over those 10 years has been ColdFusion based, but during that time I've experienced the full gamut of different technologies. I've been consulting for most of those 10 years aside from a couple stints with some small companies and my time at Allaire/Macromedia on the Consulting Team.
I've had the pleasure of working with some of the finest developers and consultants in those years and I have definitely learned and continue to learn a lot from those relationships.
I had never been a fan of blogging until Andy Powell helped egg me on, but after losing all of my tech/dev content from 2006 and spring of 07 I took a break. Now that I have restarted, I plan on keeping up this blog as much as possible. However I make no promise as to the consistency of its contents. I really plan to focus most of my attention on technologies, but I also plan on documenting portions of my "other life" which is summed up as: "motorcycles".
Back in 2000 my Dad and I started EmpireGP.com. We specialize in Plastic Welding, Gas Tank Repair, Custom Painting and we sell aftermarket body kits. We are a 100% online business and paint motorcycles from all over North America and even a few from overseas/deployed US Soldiers. It is through this company that I'm able to keep my racing dreams alive. Early in 2007 I got my road racing license and started to race the CCS series. This was my first serious motorcycle road racing experience and I can say I'm definitely hooked. While all of my dirt and supermoto experience has helped me become a good road rider, I can say I don't miss any of it, because it's hard to top going 170mph down a straight and then applying the brakes as hard as possible to slow down JUST enough to make T1 and then to whack the throttle again as hard as possible to do it all over again for T2 :)
