We Need More White People

Does saying that make me racist? Well either way I fortunately was not the one to speak those words. Instead it's one of a few choice quotes from Mrs. Obama's event coordinators.

Michelle Obama was conducting a campaign event and officially speaking on behalf of husband Barack Obama. The event was at Carnegie Mellon University. To show the campaign's diversity, her and her staff hand picked people from the audience to sit behind her based on ethnicity. They even arranged them to give the most effective message.

New Street Bike - 2005 ZX-10

Through some wheeling and dealing I was able to trade one of my track bikes + some cash for an absolutely lovely 2005 Kawasaki ZX-10. I bought this bike site unseen, and honestly having never even ridden a ZX10 or ZX9.

I'm replacing my 2001 GSX-R 600 with this bike and in the 120ish miles I have on this bike so far, holly crap is this bike a big upgrade. I'm use to the nice suspension on the race bike, but it cost about 2k. So to go from a worn-on 01 Gixxer6 to an almost never ridden 05 ZX-10 it's been quite the nice step.

Review: Alpinestars One-O-One Riding Shoes

One year ago I purchased a paid of Alpinestars One-O-One Riding Shoes. I decided to hold off on writing a review until I had more experience with the product due to the fact that my initial take on them was not very good.

After several months of riding on/off with these shoes I'm still disappointe

Confluence Plugin: Advanced Attachment Viewer

I needed a configurable way to display lots of attachments in a Confluence [Atlassian] application/website. This Macro plug-in gives a pretty high level of customization compared to the default one available with the program.

Click read more to download the file and read about it's usage.

Review: Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (2004)

I have been meaning to post something about this wine for some time and my Zaya Rum post reminded me to do so.

"Vino Nobile is garnet red in color; its bouquet is delicate and intense, with a slight scent of violet; the taste is dry with a hint of tannin. This wine is ideal with roast and grilled meat, game and mature cheeses." -wine.com

Now that this wine has had some time to age, this wine will have fully developed and in my opinion an excellent addition to anyone's collection. As a note I've had to custom order this wine and you will most likely not find it locally on the shelfs.

Review: Zaya Rum (12yrs) Review

I had the pleasure of tasting this rum the other night and definitely plan on adding it to my cabinet. Zaya Rum is made in Guatemala and is distilled in small copper pots according to the maker's marketing.

The Bottle has a palm wrapped neck with black and gold lettering and is a dark, heavy glass; making an immediate impression.

The rum it's self was smooth with weighty-sweet notes and it really seems to taste exactly as it smells with a nice honey finish.

I would definitely recommend picking up a couple bottles of this!
